- Empowerment International
- What I do or wish to do:
- Founder and Director of Empowerment International. We have been working with children outside of Granada for 5 years. Our aim is to get children into school and keep them in school as long as possible. We do this by not only supplying supplies to attend school but also by working closely with the children and their families to work through issues that would possibly cause the child to drop out. We also try to partner with other organizations instead of doing it all our selves. For example we work with PRONAT to put our teen girls into computer classes. We use the Clinca Alabama to care for our program participants. We are alway looking for more partners so our program can have more impact.

- Granada and Denver
- What I would like to get from this group is:
- To learn what other NGO's are doing, share ideas, successes, challenges, processes and I would love for this to be a resource where people interested in NGO's of Nicaragua can come and learn about our work.
- Where I work or wish to work in Nicaragua:
- We work in a barrio outside of Granada near the Zona Franca, we also have started working in a rural area called Santa Ana de Malacos. It is not accessable by public transportation and is about 10km from Granada.

I'd like to know more about your organization.
Our groups (Bridges gets about 60 a year) can easily bring school supplies.

Geralyn is amazing. It was my hope she might find time to join us here. She is a true teacher to me and she has so much insight to offer. Let's hope we can convince her to join us here. Is Gio in Managua, Granada or Atlanta? It is so nice to meet you.

My skills are more in the mechanical, and at that more in industrial fields. Helping out the poor and needy is always interest me. Contact me and I will explain my possibilities to be a volunteer. Thanks
